About

Reza Ranjbar

Reza Ranjbar is an Iranian composer, vocalist, and music producer born on April 19, 1995, in Rasht, Iran. His work combines songwriting, music production, and instrumental composition, drawing inspiration from both Persian and Western musical traditions. In recent years, he has developed a growing interest in composing music for visual media, including film, video games, trailers, and other forms of visual storytelling.

Raised in a culturally rich and artistic family, Reza developed a passion for music at an early age. Inspired by artists such as Mohammad Esfahani and Naser Abdollahi, he began singing in childhood and gave his first live performance while still in primary school.

In 2013, he began his formal musical education by studying traditional Persian vocals with Hamid Bamdadi while simultaneously learning classical guitar under the mentorship of his close friend and future collaborator, Amir Mahmoudi. He later continued his vocal studies with Kaveh Haghdoost, expanding his knowledge through solfege and choir training.

Alongside his artistic pursuits, Reza earned a bachelor’s degree in Educational Science and later a master’s degree in Family Counseling, while also completing a diploma in music. This combination of academic and artistic education helped shape a multidisciplinary perspective that continues to influence his creative work.

A temporary vocal injury briefly interrupted his musical journey, but through rehabilitation, vocal therapy, and dedicated practice, he successfully returned to music and continued pursuing both performance and composition.

As his musical interests expanded, Reza became increasingly involved in music production, recording, and audio engineering. He later studied sound recording under Amir Mahmoudi, developing practical skills in recording, editing, mixing, and production. This technical background has allowed him to approach music creation with greater independence and creative control.

Today, Reza continues to create original music as a composer, vocalist, and producer, while exploring new opportunities in media scoring and music for visual storytelling.
