Reza Ranjbar – Composer & Vocalist
Reza Ranjbar is an Iranian music composer, vocalist and producer, born on April 19, 1995, in Rasht, Iran. Growing up in a culturally rich and artistic household—his mother a calligrapher and passionate singer—Reza’s love for music emerged long before his formal education. Inspired by Iranian vocalists like Mohammad Esfahani and Naser Abdollahi, he began memorizing and performing songs from a young age, with his first live performance taking place in the second grade.
During his teenage years, Reza briefly pursued Quranic recitation and religious poetry, influenced by his family’s religious background. However, high school became a turning point, sparking a personal and artistic transformation that led him back to music. Despite initial objections from his father, Reza pursued music alongside academic studies, eventually earning a bachelor’s degree in Educational Science and becoming a primary school teacher.
In 2013, Reza took his first formal steps into music by joining a traditional Iranian singing class led by Hamid Bamdadi. Simultaneously, he began learning classical guitar under the mentorship of his close friend and future collaborator, Amir Mahmoudi. His vocal journey continued with advanced training under Kaveh Haghdoost, where he also explored solfege and choir work.
A vocal injury—attributed to emotional stress, anxiety, and excessive cheering at football matches—briefly interrupted his path. With the help of a voice therapist, herbal treatments, and dedicated vocal exercises, he recovered and returned to music stronger than before.
While working as a teacher, Reza furthered his academic journey by earning a master’s degree in Family Counseling and simultaneously completed a diploma in music. This educational blend sharpened his theoretical knowledge and expanded his professional network, culminating in a live performance at Namjoo Concert Hall in 2017.
In 2021, Reza made his official debut with Fardaye Masdood, an alternative track co-produced with Amir Mahmoudi and featuring lyrics by his younger brother, Ata Ranjbar. The trio reunited for their second release, the pop-jazz single Bi Ghesse, in 2022.
Later on, he studied sound recording by taking a dedicated course with Amir Mahmoudi, which enriched his understanding of production techniques and audio engineering. This technical background has played a vital role in shaping his skills as a music producer, allowing him greater creative control and precision in his projects.
